Abstract
The concepts of the control and the reconfigurable control, connecting the function of redundancy-complement of ecosystems, are introduced for predator–prey ecosystems with time delay, and the control laws are given when time delay does not change or changes in its respondent, respectively. According to the variations in population density, the fuzzy rule base is established as the criterion of the reconfiguration, and the reconfigurable control laws are obtained. The results of the simulations show the validity of the concepts, and provide the theory instruction for the sustainable development of ecosystems.
