Abstract
In this letter, we investigate the (2+1)(2+1)-dimensional dispersive long wave system, which describes the hydrodynamics of wide channels with finite depth. By using Sato theory and Hirota’s bilinear method, both the Grammian and Wronskian type determinant solution of the bilinear dispersive long wave system are presented. The Wronskian solution to the classical Boussinesq–Burgers system is obtained via direct dimensional reduction.
