Abstract
In order to solve the topology optimization problems of fluid flow and obtain higher resolution of the interface with a minimum of additional expense, an automatic local adaptive mesh refinement method is proposed. The optimization problem is solved by a simple but robust optimality criteria (OC) algorithm. A material distribution information based adaptive mesh method is adopted during the optimization process. The optimization procedure is provided and verified with several benchmark examples.
