Abstract

This work presents an approximation method for Navier–Stokes equations around a rotating obstacle. The detail of this method is that the exterior domain is truncated into a bounded domain and a new exterior domain by introducing a large ball. The approximation problem is composed of the nonlinear problem in the bounded domain and the linear problem in the new exterior domain. We derive the approximation error between the solutions of Navier–Stokes equations and the approximation problem.
