Abstract
This article shows that so called general Green–Taylor solutions, also called Taylor solutions or eddy solutions, of the Navier–Stokes equations are also exact solutions to approximate deconvolution models of turbulence. Thus, these special structures in flows exist as exact features in the models studied and their persistence/transient behavior is exactly determined by their stability, not by the effects of modelling or truncation errors.
