Abstract
A necessary and sufficient condition is given under which a linear time-invariant system of ordinary differential equations has a solution which is nonoscillatory with respect to a fixed set of cones. In contrast with existing results, ours allows that the given cones do not cover the whole space. The proof of the result is based on its discrete counterpart.
