Abstract
This review deals with iron, copper and potassium complexes derived from 2-nitropropane and covers various aspects, synthesis, spectroscopic features and chemical reactivity of these compounds. Applications of these complexes as structural and their oxygenation reactions as biomimetic functional models with relevance to 2-nitropropane dioxygenase are briefly described.
