Abstract
•This paper is a reaction to the recent paper published in this journal.•We show how moment invariants could be used in a weed recognition system.•We explain how the recognition rate could be increased.
This research note is in reaction to a recent paper on weed recognition using image analysis (Peng & Jun, 2011). Here, the correct use of moment invariants in a weed recognition system is presented.
