Abstract
⺠The possibilities for the utilisation of manure fibres were investigated. ⺠The calorific value of the manure fibre and the ash phosphorus concentration were measured. ⺠Cattle manure fibre ash contains little phosphorus which makes it unsuitable as a fertiliser. ⺠Ashes from anaerobic digestion, and pig and mink fibre fractions are suitable as a fertiliser. ⺠After drying, all animal fibres tested were suitable for combustion.
