Abstract
► The possibilities for the utilisation of manure fibres were investigated. ► The calorific value of the manure fibre and the ash phosphorus concentration were measured. ► Cattle manure fibre ash contains little phosphorus which makes it unsuitable as a fertiliser. ► Ashes from anaerobic digestion, and pig and mink fibre fractions are suitable as a fertiliser. ► After drying, all animal fibres tested were suitable for combustion.
