Abstract
► Short wave radiation transmittance by agricultural screens was measured. ► Geometrical analyses and empirical results of transmittance agreed well. ► Screen angle and orientation (for rectangular holes) influenced transmission. ► Scattering of direct radiation increased total radiation transmittance. ► Transmission in a screenhouse decreased by about 0.1% day−1 due to dust accumulation.
