Abstract
Let XX be a Banach space. Under the assumption related to the Jordan–von Neumann constant and normal structure coefficient of XX, we obtain the Dominguez–Lorenzo condition for XX. Moreover, we present a new proof to assure a common fixed point for commuting mappings in uniformly convex Banach spaces using the Edelstein method of asymptotic centers.
