Abstract
⺠Scaling trends identify optimal components and configuration of distributed systems. ⺠Scenarios are identified to extend communication capability of distributed networks. ⺠A dynamic phased array in space with femto-satellites is investigated. ⺠Phased array can enhance the communication capability of a distributed system. ⺠Primary challenge is achieving phase synchronization (time sync. and localization).
