Abstract
Criteria of thermal destruction for heat-protective materials (HPMs) in stationary and quasi-stationary modes of heating and ablation are submitted. It is shown that effective enthalpy of materials can differ in some times at identical values of an initial thermal flow and ablation speed in various conditions of heating. The criterion determining the moment of transition from non-stationary mode up to quasi-stationary mode is offered. It is established of conditions of achievement limiting power of HPMs.
