Abstract
Since 2001, European astronauts have conducted Europe's scientific space research programme on the International Space Station (ISS). In particular, human research experiments with the crew involved as a subject were each time part of the program. This paper will describe the path of human physiology experiments through the integration and implementation process. The process ends with the return and delivery of the on-orbit and post-flight science data to the scientific community. This paper will not only describe the implementation process but it will also give some examples of issues that were encountered during the missions.
