Abstract
A summary of the work of the Sussex fullerene research group is described. The work encompasses a range of fullerene additions including the formation of hydrides, hydroxides, halides, oxides, alkyl- and arylfullerenes, and cycloadducts are described and reveal a number of important properties of fullerenes, such as the tendency to form aromatic derivatives, as well as the formation of novel unsuspected structures.
