Abstract
We investigated the flow past a 76/40° double-delta wing at angles of attack from 10° to 35° using SA-DES and a hybrid fourth-order scheme. Comparisons were made with the surface separation pattern, the pressure distribution and the location of vortex breakdown with experimental data, and acceptable agreement was obtained. Further discussions were made under the scenario of massively separated flows on topics such as the characteristics of conical flow, the structure of vortex breakdown and vortical substructures.
