Abstract
A reduced order aeroelastic model is presented for limit cycle calculation of nonlinear aeroelastic systems with bending-torsion flutter mode. In all of previous investigations, combination of a reduced order aerodynamics model with full structural equations are used for limit cycle calculations, but in current study the reduced order model is directly constructed from complete aeroelastic equations. This reduced order model has nearly the same dimension as the structural model and in some cases it is necessary to include some minor additional states for exact calculation of the limit cycle amplitude. The proposed reduced order model has very low dimension in comparison to other previously studied models.
