Abstract
Solid raw materials for AP composite propellants were dried at different conditions and moisture contents were measured. Propellant mechanical properties increase by decreasing the moisture in solid raw materials, particularly for ammonium oxalate. Propellant stress and modulus increase by decreasing the solid fillers moisture. Long time drying of solid raw materials has an adverse effect on propellant mechanical properties.
