Abstract

By making the wavelet analysis in both time and frequency aspect and statistical analysis, a method was proposed to decide sample sizes in the experiments of turbulent flows. With an example of analyzing the turbulent kinetic energy in a turbulent boundary layer, this method was proved to be practicable.
