Abstract
An independentlyly developed numerical mode CCOST-2D is applied in 2-dimensional estuary-marine water-sediment simulation in present paper. In CCOST-2D mode, planar orthogonal curvilinear grids are adopted, and the weak instability problem caused by the Coriolis force is hurdled by rotation matrix, and an implicit scheme is adopted in water level computing similar to ECOM. Sediment-carrying capacity model is adopted in sediment process. An estuarine rockfill dumping model is established. The characteristics of water and sediment in Lingding estuary were selected as computing example with CCOST-2D. The simulation results were basically the same compared with the computing results of ECOMSED.
