Abstract
⺠We look at the coastal setback policy of the Mediterranean Protocol on ICZM. ⺠Case studies in the Mediterranean and Black Seas are used to test its effectiveness. ⺠Major issues are related with the dynamic nature of the shoreline. ⺠Integrating climate variability and change is critical to identify areas at risk.
