Abstract
⺠Solitary waves have been simulated using smoothed particle hydrodynamics method. ⺠The solitary wave split up have been explored while the wave propagates over the step. ⺠Dynamic free surface boundary condition in SPH model yields larger time step size. ⺠Ghost particles were used to model boundaries with sharp corners. ⺠SPH model predictions have been compared with both mesh based and meshless methods.
