Abstract
⺠Pneumatic control strategy for the damping enhancement of conventional U-tank stabilizers. ⺠Three-mode operation type, where the control is activated only within a limited resonant range. ⺠Equivalent linearization for modelling the turbulent air flow through the communication valves. ⺠Optimization process for the best operation within the limits of stability and control power. ⺠Roll amplitude reduction of 20-40% roughly in the resonant neighbourhood.
