Abstract
⺠Differential quadrature method (DQM) and localised DQM (LDQM) numerical methods are applied to solve the mild slope equation. ⺠LDQM is preferred to DQM in terms of the computational cost and extended range of applications. ⺠The main advantage of LDQM is the use of fewer grid points to achieve accurate results. ⺠The optimum performance of LDQM was achieved when the number of local nodes is taken between 5 and 13.
