Abstract
⺠A refined analytic expression for the power amplification factor is derived. ⺠The reactor eigenvalue equations are rewritten for subcritical systems. ⺠The adjoint equation is used in deriving the formula for the amplification factor. ⺠The refined formula and the modified eigenvalue equations are discussed.
