Abstract

The power of marine reactor varies frequently and acutely. The Simulink simulation program is developed for fast and accurate calculation of the dynamic temperature field in the hot channel of a marine reactor core. The three dimensional temperature field and the dynamic variation of the minimum DNBR are obtained accurately in short time, which is of great importance to the fast calculation of the physical and thermal parameters in the operating field and to the marine reactor safe operation.

► A simplified hot channel model is established for a marine reactor system. ► The Simulink module for the temperature field and minimum DNBR in the hot channel is established. ► A typical dynamic progress in the hot channel of a marine reactor core is analyzed. ► The Simulink program can give quick technology support in the operating field.
