Abstract
The integro-differential equation of the point kinetics of nuclear reactor was solved by approximating the neutron density with piecewise polynomial and exponential functions. The developed numerical algorithms are simple and easy to implement. Three sets of applications were used: constant, sinusoidal and ramp reactivity.
