Abstract
The collateral-effect of the boron dilution in nuclear reactors and its significance with regard boiling heat transfer is discussed. Utilizing a simplified model, an analytical expression for the boiling heat transfer as function of boric acid concentration was derived. The above equation agree with the available experimental measurements made on zircalloy-4.
