Abstract
The nuclear binding energy is calculated via the pressure of a gas on the moving nuclear surface. The nuclear surface velocity is proportional to 1Vn. We get analytic expressions for most of the coefficients entering the formula. The main terms entering the binding energy are: volume, surface, coulomb, curvature, charge asymmetry and A0 energies. The isospin dependence was incorporated in a consistent manner. The model contains six free parameters.
