Abstract
⺠FEM has been employed to loss calculation of distribution transformer under distorted voltages. ⺠This method gives accurate results in comparison with standard or circuit based methods. ⺠A new version of 3D FEM has been used, this approach is electromagnetic based. âºÂ In literature, FEM always used for study of transformer load loss and most of them based on magneto-static FEM. ⺠FEM results are validated by experiment for small test transformer.
