Abstract
⺠An experimental investigation on heat transfer optimization of an impinging port-array inverse diffusion flame jet. ⺠Effects of air port diameter and the equivalence ratio on heat transfer and fuel utilization efficiency are studied. ⺠Effects of the burner-to-plate distance and Reynolds number on heat transfer and fuel utilization efficiency are studied. ⺠Burner with smaller air port diameter produces higher maximum heat flux and average heat flux in the impingement region. ⺠Fuel-lean combustion between Φ = 0.9 and Φ = 1.1 are found to be desirable operational conditions.
