Abstract
⺠Thermodynamic analyses for steam and dry gasification of coal are presented. ⺠Hybrid solar-fossil paths to power and fuels are compared to those using only combustion. ⺠Hybrid power production can reduce specific CO2 emissions by more than 27%. ⺠Hybrid fuel production can reduce specific CO2 emissions by more than 39%.
