Abstract
⺠CCS systems processes are seen as a promising route towards reducing carbon emissions while being able to utilize coal. ⺠Operating oxyfuel burners under non-stoichiometric oxygen rich conditions leads to flame temperatures similar to air combustion. ⺠By combining two or more non-stoichiometric burners in one boiler global stoichiometry similar to conventional oxyfuel combustion can be reached. ⺠Characteristic flame zones could be observed when analysing radial profiles of the flame regarding emissions.
