Abstract
⺠Pinch analysis targeting is used to assess the optimum steam utility system. ⺠Targeting improves when sensible heating of steam is included in composite curves. ⺠Flexibility in the steam power island leads to better optimization of the steam system. ⺠An IGCC plant with CCS is used to demonstrate the validity of this approach.
