Abstract
⺠Significant difference in wind penetration levels on an islanded system, when comparing results of EnergyPLAN and dynamic power-system models. ⺠The difference between the results from the two models is reduced, when the Vehicle-to-Grid (V2G) regulation is applied. ⺠The V2G could improve the short-term wind power balancing, which is an attractive alternative to conventional generator reserves. ⺠The EnergyPLAN tool needs to be taken conservatively if used for energy system analyses of islands and “islandable” systems. ⺠Incorporating a grid stabilisation share in V2G model, the EnergyPLAN capability to handle intra-hour power regulation could be improved.
