Abstract
⺠A stolen capsule of Cesium 137 was opened in the city of Goiania, generating some 6000 tons of debris which were stored in the Repository area built for this purpose. ⺠The activity of cesium 137 of the surface water, underground water, depth sediments of river, soil, vegetation, and air, inside and surround the Repository area. âºThe monitoring period happened from 1998 to 2008. âºResults showed no radiological impact whatsoever to the public individuals and their surrounding environment.
