Abstract
⺠A compartment model to describe 14C accumulation in rice plant was developed. ⺠In the model, rice plants were regarded to consist of three compartments. ⺠The three compartments are the ear and the mobile and immobile carbon pools of the shoot. ⺠The model estimates were in relatively good agreement with the observations.
