Abstract
⺠The axial fuel shuffling is studied in an SCWFR with Th-U and U-Pu conversions. ⺠The non-enriched fresh fuel is not possible for both Th-U and U-Pu conversions. ⺠Th-U conversion needs a lower enrichment but results in a higher burn-up. ⺠Reducing the water volume fraction can achieve an increased burn-up. ⺠The Th-U conversion is superior to the U-Pu one concerning SCWFR safety aspects.
