Abstract
► The axial fuel shuffling is studied in an SCWFR with Th-U and U-Pu conversions. ► The non-enriched fresh fuel is not possible for both Th-U and U-Pu conversions. ► Th-U conversion needs a lower enrichment but results in a higher burn-up. ► Reducing the water volume fraction can achieve an increased burn-up. ► The Th-U conversion is superior to the U-Pu one concerning SCWFR safety aspects.
