Abstract
Analytical equations have been developed to accurately predict the coolant flow rate vs. static head relationship of an MTR pool-type gravity driven research reactor from its friction-loss characteristics. Excellent agreement between theory and existing experimental data was obtained. These equations provide the basis for more rapid and accurate analysis than presently employed more cumbersome trial-and-error methods.
