Abstract
► Groundwater vertical flow controls the geothermal field in the Bohemian Cretaceous basin. ► Some corrections were necessary for the heat flux calculation (vertical flow, topography). ► Tectonics has in most cases only secondary effect on the thermal field. ► Two longitudinal W-E areas in the Benešov-Ústí aquifer system reveal higher heat flux.
