Abstract
Calcium carbonate was prepared from the post-distillation liquid and post-filtration liquid generated in the Solvay process at the temperature 303Â K. The changes in the water, oil and dibutyl phthalate absorption capacities are inversely proportional to the bulk and packing densities of calcium carbonate samples. Calcite and vaterite structures of the crystals were obtained.
