Abstract
On 2nd February, Royal Dutch Shell PLC announced record profits of £13bn for the previous financial year. On the same day it emphasised its commitment to alternative energy by announcing significant new developments in biofuels, wind, solar and hydrogen. In exclusive interviews with Refocus, senior executives were keen to stress the Group's belief in alternative energies as an essential part of Shell's future energy strategy.
