Abstract
⺠Palaeoenvironment of lignite precursor material was determined. ⺠Differences in the palaeo-plant communities are caused by pronounced seasonality. ⺠Diagenetic changes of the organic matter were mainly governed by bacterial activity. ⺠Novel diagenetic pathway for transformation of abietane-type precursors proposed.
