Abstract
⺠A coal deposit in Northeast Greenland was revisited for the first time since 1908. ⺠The coals are Middle Jurassic in age and were deposited in a floodplain environment. ⺠The coals are different from but related to other Jurassic coal deposits in the area. ⺠The coals are medium-rank high-grade coal, dominated by vitrinite and inertinite. ⺠Paralic coals were not found-their presence is suggested by loose blocks.
