Abstract
âºExperimental effect of heat-up to low T on vitrinite reflectance (VR) at 2 kbar. âºCold-seal pressure vessel with classical heat-up device and procedure was used. âºHeat-up increases VR for T > ~ 250 °C and has no impact on VR for T < ~ 250 °C. âºShort laboratory maturation heating times are needed to formulate VR rate equation. âºPossibilities to surmount heat-up effect in kinetic analysis of VR evolution are shown.
