Abstract
⺠Tight gas productivity could strongly benefit from imaging porosity at pore scale. ⺠BIB-SEM allows imaging pores of 10 nm in true 2D sections, as unprecedented. ⺠Serial cross sectioning produces a 3D model of the porous network and fabric. ⺠This results in a porosity model both at the scale of sand grains and clay grains. ⺠Pore scale microstructures are bridged with macro-scale properties.
