Abstract
► Complete collection of experimental data on asphaltene precipitation is presented. ► Pressure depletion at various temperatures, CO2, dry and enriched gas is examined. ► A polydisperse thermodynamic model is developed and modified. ► Asphaltene molecular weight distribution function based on fractal aggregation. ► Model is in good agreement with experiments except for CO2 in case of light oil.
