Abstract
The effect of various Ni and Co-loading was evaluated in activity of bimetallic Ni-Co/Y catalyst. The catalysts characterized by XRD, FESEM, EDX, BET and FTIR techniques. The sonochemical method was utilized to accomplish a catalyst with especial properties such as excellent dispersion of active phases and uniform distribution of particles size. The Ni7Co3/Y catalyst had better activity than zeolite Y and Ni3Co7/Y catalyst. The yield of hydrogen was higher than Ni3Co7/Y catalyst (about 10%) at all temperatures, especially at 850 °C. The results displayed that nickel should play the role of main phase and cobalt should be as the promoter phase. The activity of Ni7Co3/Y catalyst remained stable during 10 h at 850 °C.333
