Abstract
⺠Ultrasonic fields are evaluated in anisotropic materials using 2D ray tracing model. ⺠Directivity of the ray source is considered for calculating realistic ultrasonic fields. ⺠Ray tracing model results are validated quantitatively using 2D EFIT model. ⺠Ultrasonic fields are measured in austenitic welds using electrodynamic technique. ⺠Ray tracing model predictions are compared with experiments on austenitic welds.
