Abstract
⺠We study rate effect on hydraulic concrete specimens under very low loading rates. ⺠AE hits and its peak rate decrease with the increase of loading rate. ⺠Under a higher loading rate AE sources distribute in a relatively diffuser manner. ⺠The capacity of AET capturing microcracking localization is verified.
